Ordinal numbers tell us the order. We use them for races. We also use them when queueing in line. I was last in the race. I am first in the queue.

It's all about 2d shapes this month. We will compare shapes and look at their sides,angles and length.

We are learning about 3D Shapes at the moment. 3D shapes are fat not flat. We are having fun creating our own 3D shapes in class. We are using magnetic 2d shapes, straws, playdough, lollipop sticks and matchsticks to construct 3d shapes. Cubes and cuboids are very similar- they both have 6 faces, 8 corners and 12 edges. Cylinders and spheres can roll.

Maths Week begins next week. We will have fun completing maths trails and fun activities. Today we found out some interesting comparisons in class.

What numeral comes before 3? What numeral comes after 2?? What numeral comes just after 4? What numeral comes just before 1?.... Using number flashcards is very helpful.
