We are busy preparing for our End of Year show which takes place on Wednesday 13th at 9am.
Our school tour is on June 20th. We will visit the Discovery park in Castlecomer and then on to the Dome in Carlow. The trip fits in nicely to our Aistear theme this month the Woodlands.
We are enjoying the sunshine and we have been out in the field skipping and running.
We carried out an experiment to see the effect of the sun's heat on chocolate and butter.
We also learned about our bikes and spoke about bike safety.
We completed the IAWS lessons on water safety.
May is the month of Our Lady Mary. We will learn about Mary the mother of Jesus this month. We have set up a May altar in our class and we will bring in flowers to decorate the altar.
Our theme this month is Special occasions. We will brainstorm lots of words and phrases about celebrations. Our story this month is Sleeping Beauty.
We will learn all about trees and woodlands. We will be painting cherry blossom branches.
Hopefully the weather will be kind and we will go outside and spot trees near our school. We will also learn about woodland animals and birds.
Our Easter holidays are over we are back to school and we have plenty of interesting topics to cover this month.
We will learn about birds and identify common Irish garden birds. We will also plant some seeds and see how the plants grow and change.
We will learn about data and money in Maths
March is a very busy month. We are preparing for Seachtain na Gaeilge. We will recite poems as gaeilge and we have learnt two irish dances for our céilii. Beidh an-craic againn.
We are learning about the story of ten and all about time this month take a look at our maths page.
Our theme this month is the farm. We are reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
January blues have vanished. We are looking forward to brighter and longer days. Spring has sprung!
We are learning stories about St Brigid. We will learn about Healthy Eating this month. We will also talk about litter and recycling. Number nine is our number this month, and Chicken Licken is our story.
Happy New Year everyone. 2018 has dawned and we have so much to look forward to.
This month we will learn all about 2D or flat shapes such as squares, rectangles and circles. We will learn about our homes and houses. The Three little pigs is our story this month.
December has dawned and we have a very busy month in store. We have started to work on our Christmas play "Snowman at sunset". We are busy learning our songs and lines. Our performances will take place on Wednesday and Thursday the 13th and 14th of December.
We will learn all about the number 8 this month. Did you know there are nine ways of making the number eight.
Our Christmas Art will help us to remember that Christmas is a time of giving not just receiving. We will make a little something to thank someone special for all they do for us every day.

Winter has arrived. We have lots of work to complete this month. We will learn about owls. Take a look at the SESE page there are some nice videos about owls. We will explore our wonderful sense of hearing and take time to listen to sounds around us both in school and at home.
In November, we will remember all our loved ones who have died.
Town Mouse Country Mouse is our new theme for Aistear and we look forward to all our new stations.
In P.E. we will focus on dance. We will have great fun learning new moves and exercising through dance. Have a look at the short clip below.
Another month has begun. We are settled into Senior Infants and our new routine. We are all working so hard and learning so much every week.
We hope you are having fun exploring our site and that you are keeping up to date with what the children are learning in school.
This month we will learn about the number 6. We will continue to name the days of the week/months of the year and count to 20. Check out our maths page for fun videos and songs.
Our new Aistear stations are based on our story this month Cinderella. Children will have fun, role playing Cinderella, making invitations to the ball etc.
We will lead Infant Assembly at the end of the month.
We will prepare for Halloween and will learn some spooky songs and poems.
